このアルバムを聴いていると、ほんとうにゆったりした気分になる。Ry Cooderが好きなブルースやニューオリンズサウンド、ラテンなどのいろいろなワールドミュージックがゆったりと混ざり合って流れていく。「Jesus on the Mainline」のこのライ･クーダ・ヴァージョンはあまりにも有名。ついつい一緒にコーラスしてしまう。一家に一枚の名盤!

暖かい日に日向ぼっこをしながら聴くと正にこの世の楽園。こんな事が成せるのもRy Cooderの天才的なギターセンスの良さでしょう。バックバンドの演奏もも完璧！生活の中に音楽が必要と思う人に是非、聞いてもらいたい１枚。Chicken Skin Musicもおすすめ。

高校生の時、このＬＰを購入して２５年間で何度聞いたかわからないくらい聞き倒したアルバムです。この後の"Border Line"等傑作はあるものの、バランス、完成度、アルバムにかける情熱はこのアルバムが最高だと思います。特にアールハインズとのディディワディディは歴史に残る演奏だとは言い過ぎでしょうか？
