このCDはただのNEWリマスターではありません！オリジナル・マスターを新たに発掘したということで、全曲ではありませんが数曲が既存のアルバムより数秒長く収録されております。メンバーの掛け声とか、カウントとか、そういった音が追加に収録されております♪また、バドカンやポールのファン、いや全ロック・ファン必携の永遠のアイテムとなることでしょう！！なお、音質は向上しておりますが、このレーベルの全体的な特長らしく録音レベルはやや低めです。

あまりにも上手く作られすぎているのでとやかく言われることもあるのですが、冷静に判断すれば彼らの最高の出来だと思います。フリーの路線でずっと追って聞いてきたので、フリーが明るくなったという表現が僕にはピッタシでありました。（逆を言えば暗いのがフリーの魅力だったんですが、そっちはポール･コゾフのバック・ストリート・クローラーズをお聞きください）ブルースっぽくってポップで、アメリカでトップになった時は自分のことのように嬉しかったですね。こういうのがトップになるなんてね。ポール・ロジャースという人は仲間内でも歌が上手いという定評があったようでヤードバーズを解散したあとジミー・ペイジは新しいバンド（つまりツエッペリン）のボーカルにしたがっていたという話も当時ありました。結局、バドカンの後一緒にやってますモンね。玄人受けしていたポール･ロジャースがメジャーになった記念すべきファースト・アルバムです。

世界屈指のボーカリストであるポール・ロジャースを擁したバッド・カンパニーの1st。リマスターでＣＤ再発となった。
打込み系の音やシンセ系の音がバンドの中核を成すようになって久しいが、それらによって形作られた音楽を指して「ロック」とはとても言いがたい。生身の人間が奏でる音、ギター・ベース・ドラム・キーボード、そして肉声によって構築された演奏こそが聴く人の魂を揺さぶるのであって、それこそが本来の「ロック」であると確信する。
その点でこのバッド・カンパニーの奏でる音楽は「正真正銘のロック」と言う事が出来る。
真っ向勝負のストレートなロック。チャラチャラした余分な音は一切排除し、胆の入った各楽器の演奏とポール・ロジャースのボーカルのみで形作った偉大なアルバムだ。シンプル且つストレートな各楽曲はケレン味のないロックの王道を行っている。
それにしてもポール・ロジャースはボーカリストとしての技量・声量・パフォーマンス、どれをとっても非の打ち所がない完璧なボーカリストであると再確認した次第。おそらく「世界No1」と称しても異論を挟む人はいないのでは？。昨年はＱＵＥＥＮプロジェクトの一員としてフレディ・マーキュリーの“代役”を担当したが、逆に言うとあそこまで強烈なイメージを完成させてしまった「ＱＵＥＥＮのフレディ」役をこなせる人は、このポール・ロジャース以外に世界中を探してもいなかったのではないか。それを立派にこなし切ったポールの凄さは「偉大」としか言いようがない。
このアルバムからは「Can't Get Enough」「Rock Steady」等のヒット曲が生まれたが、タイトル曲「Bad Company」の旋律とアレンジ、そしてポール・ロジャースの歌唱は鳥肌モンの1曲だ。絶品のロック作品！。
