　ジョン・ハイアットの歌詞の一小節から拝借したタイトルで、彼らはデビューにこぎつけ、とんでもないビッグヒットとなった作品。一つとして奇をてらったところなどない、洗練とは無縁の、泥臭い、だけど心に深く染み入るようなメロディを、ソウルフルな黒人Vo.ダリアス・ラッカーの、力強くも優しい歌声が包みこむ、アメリカン・ロックの底力を見せ付けられたような作品だ。
　とにかく曲がいい。ワンパターンと言ってしまえばそれまでなんだが、90年代以降、この手の音作りがシーンからめっきり減ってしまったため、逆に新鮮に思えただけなのかもしれない。けれども、あまたのロックバンドから頭一つ抜け出せたのは、ただひたすら、色気を見せることなく、それこそ愚直に、いい曲を過不足の無い演奏で紡いだいった結果なんだろう。そして残念ながら、彼ら自身もこの作品をいまだに超えられずに苦しんでいる。
　オープニング（1）からエンジン全開。この1曲目が大好きだ。（2）〜（4）・（8）のヒットシングルだけにとどまらない、駄曲など何もないこのアルバムを聞きながらドライブすれば、広大な大地を貫くハイウェイを疾走していするイメージが沸いてくる。全てのベクトルとタイミングがピタリとはまった、一世一代の奇跡のような傑作アルバムだ！

全米では1600万枚を超えるセールスを挙げている。これはイーグルスの、かの名盤「ホテル・カリフォルニア」に匹敵する数字である。

個人的な意見を言えば、何故そこまでヒットになったのかが不思議な作品だ。
確かに「良質」と言える王道的アメリカン・ロックであり、シングルヒットにも恵まれた。しかし、本来ならば、チャートやセールスは度外視されかねない音楽である。トータルセールスを知ってアルバムを聴くと、こういった音楽が死にかけている(チャート上)現在では、「?」と感じる方が多いのではないだろうか。
セールスに見合った期待をせず、この作品だけを評価するなら★★★★(4.5)。
自分は大好きだ。

とってもよいアルバムです。ラジオで初めてOnly wanna be with youを聞いて、このCDを買いました。力強いのにやさしいボーカルが気持ちのいい一枚です。疲れた日の夜や何もしたくない休日にぼーっと聞くと、心がなごみます。日本で知名度が低いのが残念です。
