ターニング・ポイントを迎えた彼らの胸中が推し量られる、微妙な通算７枚目。次作を思えばいかにも「嵐の前の静けさ」って感じだが、ベン・ワットの原因不明の奇病という災難を乗り越え、とにかく彼らがシーンに戻ってきたという事実を率直に悦ぶべき。「Missing」の大ヒットが記憶に新しいところだが、「Rollercoaster」、「25th December」（リチャード・トンプソン(g)参加）のようなどこか懐かしい匂いのするナンバーの数々が、いかにも彼らならではと思わせる。トレーシー・ソーンはこれと前後して、マッシヴ・アタックの２ndアルバムにゲスト参加している。

独自の世界とスタンスで活動を続けるデュオチーム。今回は『失恋』すかね。淡々とうたってはいるが、その透明感たるや深い。しみる。
時代との距離感を絶妙に取りながらこのアルバムではリチャードトンプソンをゲストに迎えて＝フォークポップ調なサウンドメイキング＝で構成。失恋した時に聴くべきアルバムナンバーワン。

表現すべき人物が表現すべき歌を歌っている典型的なアルバム。飾らない詩人たちだ。１０点中１０点。　彼等のピークアルバム。

このアルバムでは、やはりMissing が一番先に
思いだせれます。素敵な曲ですよね。
このアルバムで、また、多くの聴衆者を獲得されいる
と思います。
時代は、まだアンプラグドブームであり、多くのアーティスト
がアンプラグド的なアルバムをリリースする事が多かったですね。
その中で、一味違う、強引にアンプラグド的にしてない雰囲気
でEverything But the Girlとしての世界が素晴らしく表現
されていると思います。
