　ゼップファンは一枚一枚CDを買い揃える位ならば
これを買いましょう。音がダントツに良いからです。
ジミー・ペイジ自身によるリマスター処理が施されているからです。
CD盤のリマスター処理とは格段の音の違いです。
ベスト盤　ベスト・オブ・レッド・ツェッペリン ~リマスターズと
同じリマスター処理がなされています。
当初、ベスト盤収録曲のみのリマスター処理で
終わらせるつもりだったのがペイジのリマスター処理への反響が良かったので
気を良くして、じゃあ全アルバムでやっちゃおうか、みたいなノリで
全アルバム、ジミー・ペイジ盤リマスター処理が施されました。
他のCDとは格段に音の違いが認識できると思います。
ただ、３のアルバムジャケットは回転させて遊べないので
もし遊びたい方は紙ジャケを買うか、LPを購入してください。

ZEPの優れた点を端的に述べれば、それは紛れもなくアルバムに駄作がないことである。
このバンドの場合、デビュー・アルバムから最終作のコーダまで都合９作のスタジオ盤を発表しているが、ただの１作も平均点以下のものは無い。
実は、キャリアを積んだバンドにとって、これが出来そうで出来ない事なのである。

特にZEPの場合、デビュー作がかなり水準の高い出来だったために、まかり間違うと２作目以降は、１作目を水で薄めたような出来になってしまう虞をはらんでいた。
ところが、このバンドの溢れんばかりの創作意欲とそれにより生み出された作品群は、常に水準の高いアルバムを構築し続け、結果、駄作が１作も無いという奇跡的な結果をもたらした。

また、とかくハード・ロックの範疇に入れられるZEPであるが、細部にまで耳を傾けると、その多様な音楽性に気付くはずである。
本作を聴けば、カントリー、エスニック、ブルース、ハードバラード等々、枚挙にいとまないこれら多彩なジャンルのゴッタ煮が、実はZEPの屋台骨となっているという事実を理解できるはずである。

全アルバムを単独で購入するより遙かに経済的な本作は、７０年代ブリティッシュ・ロックの金字塔レッド・ツェッペリンの全貌を把握する絶好のチャンスだ！

他人にZEPのお勧めアルバムは？と聞かれた時には、黙ってこれを
薦めています。
結論は一つも無視できるアルバムは無い！ということです。
ついでに言うとBBCもHOW THE WEST WAS WONも黙って買え!と
いうことです（紙ジャケはその人の任意によります）。
