私が最初にETBGをきいたのはこのアルバムで、その独特な世界にかなりヤラれてしまった。やはりトレーシー・ソーンの声によるところが大きいかもしれないけれど、このアルバムは他のものとちがって、１枚でひとつの世界をつくっているような気がする。
私的には、ETBGのアルバムベスト３に入ります。大好きです。

ＥＢＴＧ紙ジャケシリーズ。
「ランゲージ・オブ・ライフ」の雰囲気から、またまたがらっと変わって、「アイドルワイルド」のアコーステック路線にもどったアルバムです。
全編に流れるつぼを得たグッドサウンドが、またまたボクを癒してくれます。
この後のＥＢＴＧは、「カバーズｅｐ」を始め、他アーティストのカバー曲をマキシシングルとして発売していました。
フォーク・アコースティック全盛の頃のＥＢＴＧです。
ちなみにこの紙ジャケバージョンには、「ラブ・イズ・ストレンジ」がおまけに入ってます。
が、この曲は「アコースティック」にも収録されていますよ。

ＥＢＴＧのキャリアは大きく分けるとネオ・アコの旗手だった第１期（「ラブ・ノット・マネー」まで）、コンテンポラリー・ポップの王道を極めた第２期（３枚目~このアルバムまで）、ＤＪ、クラブ系へとシフトしていく第３期（「アンプリファイド・ハート」以降）と整理されるが、第２期の終わりを感じさせるのがこの６枚目。「Old Friends」「British Summertime」「Twin Cities」など、クオリティはしっかり保たれているが、「でももうそろそろ新しいこと始めなきゃ」という気分にさせる種類の成熟度。夏の終わりに聴こう。
