ニューヨーク出のスラッシュ＆パワーメタルバンドの４ｔｈ。私が持ってるオーバーキルのアルバムはこれだけです。サウンドはメガデスに似てるかな~ボーカルのブリッツの声がデイヴ・ムステインをさらに下手に、じゃなく個性的にしたような感じのせいもあるけど。ベースラインにとても特徴のある彼らのサウンドは、重くて攻撃的（というより排他的か？）。バラードっぽい"the years of decay"もヘビーで凄くかっこいいけど、マシンガンのようにぶっ放す"elimination""I hate"がとにかく痺れます！

HR/HM全盛期の頃、黄金のカルテット時代最後の秀作（1989）!
最初から最後までが聴きどころ!
やはり、"I HATE" "ELIMINATION"といった速くてゴリゴリしたベースにギターが心地いい!もちろん、重くて力強い"playing with~"もいいですよ｡
そして、OVERKILL最終章のEvil Never Die めっちゃ渋いです｡

1曲目から捨て曲無しのアルバムです。知らない方オーバーキルのライブ盤を買ってさらにしびれてください。ああライブ行きたいっす！！
