これを初めて聞いたのは高校生の時。1のリフを聞いた時の衝撃は今でも覚えています。しかしそれは１０年以上前の話。今のメタルファンが聞いたら迫力には欠けていると思います。最大の聴き所はアレックス・スコルニックのギターソロ。このアルバムに関してイングウェイ・マルムスティーンの影響が色濃く出て個人的には好きです♪ギターを演奏する人は要チェックですよ。

個人的にはすごく微妙なアルバム。各楽曲ごとの完成度は決して悪くないのだけど、始めて聴いたときは何かスッキリしなかった。初めてPVも作成してテスタメントの名前も更に押し上げたアルバムであることは間違いないのだけど･･･。スピードチューンが1曲しかないのが理由かとも思ったが、ライブ感を大事にしてのびのびと演奏している作風で、それが逆に彼らのサウンドには合わないから矛盾してスッキリしなかったではないだろうか。この次のSOULS OF BLACKのほうがまだその矛盾が解消されていて入り込みやすかった。ファン層は広げたかもしれないが、肩透かしを食らったファンも多いのでは？

通称「メント」。ポストメタリカの3Mの一角を担うバンド。#1.Practice What You Preach, #2.Perilous Nation #3.Envy Life, 4.Time Is Coming まで一気に聴ける。力の入り具合がいい。
