Album Details

Japanese only SHM pressing. Features 24-bit mastering and packaged in a paper sleeve. The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.

曲間が異様に短い為、オープニングからラストまで一気に駆け抜けていく感じ。当時、ラットの音楽を「スルメロック」とよく例えられた。聞き込めば聞き込むほど味が出るという理由だ。（噛めば噛むほど味が出る。）本作もその「スルメロック」は健在で、良質な楽曲達は聞き込むほど魅力を増してくる。1,3,4,5などラットを語る上で欠かす事の出来ない名曲揃い。個人的に、2,6も大好きな曲である。中でも「Body Talk」は映画「ゴールデンチャイルド」の挿入歌にもなった。やはり、ラットにはボー・ヒルのプロデュースが一番合っている。

アルバムごとに評価が下がってしまうバンドは数多くいる。RATTはその一つだったと思う。
理解しがたいことだが、あの時代はハードロックバンドもアイドル化されて売られた結果、アイドル性に乏しい本作品は、デビュー時の爆発的売れ行きとは一線を画した感じに受け止められてしまった。
しかし本来は最高傑作なのではないでしょうか。ものすごい緊張感。
３作目ともなるとたいていのバンドは売れそうなバラードなどを多用し、だれた作品を出してしまうものですが、どんどんシンプルでハードになっていくこのバンドの奥行きの深さを改めて知らされます。
時を経て今、再評価されてしかるべきアルバムです。息つく暇もありません。おすすめは２，８，１０。コマーシャリズムとはかけ離れた職人魂を感じる。

ヒットパンチの連打！　3は名曲です。　買ってよかったと素直に思えた好盤。ＲＡＴＴ、ぐたぐだ批評したり、代わり映えしないとか、うるさい話もありましたが、ＲＡＴＴで何が悪い！一回聴けばそれだと分かるオリジナリティを備えたバンドがそんなにあるか？！。本気でかっこいいいバンド、変わらないでいてほしかった人のほうが圧倒的に多い！。モトリーとは違うんだよ。実は世渡りが、不器用だっただけ。モトリーより絶対ＲＡＴＴのほうが愛着があります。
