購入したきっかけは海外ドラマで役者さんがこのアルバムの４曲目”Devoted To You”歌っていたのを聴いて。歌詞の意味もわからなかったのにたまらなく心に響いた。実際に購入して聴いてみると歌声は素晴らしいし、思わず涙が出るほどだった。他に収録の曲も聴き慣れた曲ながら新しい感覚で聴けて最高！胎教にいつも聴いていました。おかげで生まれた子供はこのアルバムを聴かせるとゆっくりと休めるようです。本当に癒しのアルバムです。

子守歌マニアである吉里爽が大推薦する名盤。
就寝時に美しい女性が隣にいないのであれば、
必ずこれを聴きながら
眠りに就きたいと思うほどである。
親友に子供が生まれた時にはこのアルバムを
プレゼントしよう！と決めている。

かの名曲・Queen の♪We Will Rock You から
The Ronetts の♪Be My Baby まで、すべての曲が
繊細なアレンジと多彩なコーラスワークで編まれ、
ハンドメイドのタペストリーのような逸品に
仕上がっている。
アルバム全編を通してウィスパーヴォイスの
Lindaの歌唱は、彼女をカントリー・ロックシンガーと
思っている音楽ファンには想像がつかないのでは？

私自身、学生時代に、Buddy Holly の♪It's So Easy の
Linda ヴァージョンをカヴァーしたことがあるので、
正直なところ、このアルバムのヴォーカルには
大いに驚いた。
ロックンロールを歌い、カントリーを歌い、パンクも歌い、
ついにはビッグバンドジャズまで歌いこなした
ロスの歌姫・Linda が歌うララバイ。
ここには、ただ混じり気のないピュアな母性愛だけがある。

赤ちゃんのみならず、大人たちの眠れぬ夜に
捧げたい１枚。

最高に贅沢な子守唄。
選曲は素晴らしいのですが、ほとんどの曲をオリジナルで聴いていたものとしては、ツライものがります。
まあ、リンダの仕事はそういうやり方ばかりなんですが。

ビートルズのカヴァー「グッドナイト」は特に素晴らしかったと思います。
