メタリカが初の全米ＮＯ１を取り、文字通り、全米制覇した記念すべき５ＴＨ
アルバムです。サウンドの方も、極めて完成度の高い充実した内容になっています。
ただし、２ＮＤ、３ＲＤでメタリカファンになった人は、それを期待すると失望させられます。もはやスラッシュではなくなっているからです。

メタリカに２ＮＤ、３ＲＤのノリを期待するファンは買わないほうが賢明です。逆に格好いいＨＭアルバムを探している人には文句なくお奨めできます。

音楽的内容は、文句一つ無く、ロックアルバムとしては2000万枚以上売り上げた、世界に誇るモンスターアルバムです。
今回わけあって購入しましたが、ひどい。残酷の極み。日本のメーカーがいかに、我々リスナーの思い一つ汲み取っていないかが良〜く分かりましたよ。
なんと歌詞が全く読み取れません。小さ過ぎて。歌詞カードではなく、紙ジャケの内側にプリントしてあるだけです。ナメてんのか？
そりゃあ、外人さんはいいでしょうよ？英語わかるんだろうから。でも、ココ日本よ？
もう、本当に商業主義全開ですよ。ロゴが並ぶとかワケワカンネェトコに精力注ぐ元気あるんだったら、中身まともにしてくれよ。
そんな訳で、購入するに充分な条件を満たしているかと言えば、気持ちは星ゼロですよ。しかし、愛するメタリカに失礼なので、2つぐらいにはしときます。

これはミドルテンポの曲がほとんどでマスター・オブ・パペッツみたいな時速１６０ｋ系はないんですが非常に聞きやすく選曲も抜群だと思います。何度聞いても飽きない作品だと思います。１〜４作品を相当聞いておられる方たちには多少もの足りないって感じもするかもしれませんが、このアルバムにもMetallicaのカッコよさが詰まってると思います。スローテンポの四番や八番もメタリカ流バラードって感じで気に入っています。全曲通して聞いても疲れないので、これからメタリカを聞いてみようかなぁ〜って思ってる方には入門の意味でも悪くない一枚だと思います。おすすめです。
