DOKKEN解散後のGeorge Lynch(G.) が、同じく元DOKKENのMick Brown(Dr.)やAnthony Esposito(B.)、
無名の新人Oni Logan(Vo.)らと結成したLYNCH MOBの1stアルバムが本作品「Wicked Sensation」です。

この作品は、George Lynchのダークかつアグレッシブなギター・ワークとOni Loganのブルージーかつ
ソウルフルなボーカル（このOniのボーカルが秀逸！）をフューチャーしたヘヴィー・ブルース・
メタルというべきサウンドで、以前のDOKKEN作品よりもギターのトーンが格段に良くなっています。

Georgeの代名詞的ロング・ストレッチによるレガートな、まさに着火寸前の絶妙なタイム感による
スリリングなソロとグルーブ感あふれるシャッフル系のリフが特徴的な「Wicked Sensation」、
開放弦を効果的に使用したヘビー・グルーブなリフが印象的な「Sweet Sister Mercy」、
Oniの哀愁ただようボーカルをフューチャーしたスロー・ブルーズ・シャッフルの「All I Want」等
Georgeの卓越したリフ・センスに脱帽してしまいます。

ソロではまさに水を得た魚のごとく弾きまくっており、GeorgeLynch奏法を知るには最適な作品です。

　もう、今年で５３歳かなウチのジョージは・・・（笑）。とにかく、五十路を過ぎてもナオ前進あるのみなジョージ・リンチ師範代には脱帽です。私が「この人ホント凄い・・・」と感じたのは、ジョージが参加したJBのトリビュートアルバムでした。カーティス・メイフィールドの曲に参加していましたが、JBが演奏したカヴァーよりジョージのソロの方が「素敵・・・」と、強く感じてしまいました。歪のカカリとエフェクトのノリが抜群で、上に突き抜ける感じはJBよりジョージでした・・・。

　アルバムの解説にもあるように「もう人の名前のバンドで活動したくない・・・」と、ジョージは語っていたとか。ドッケンでの演奏も素晴らしかったですが、人間関係は難しかったようです。その辺が「バンド・イメージ」としての戦略の食い違いだったのでしょう。とても残念な結果になってしまいましたが、前進あるのみなので「リンチ・モブ」結成です。

　本当に独特な「間」を持ったギタープレイです。これがハマルと抜け出せないのでしょう・・・ギターの指板上をワイドにスライドさせたり、ピッキング時に余り指３本を大きく広げたり、はたまた村田基氏の「フィッシュ！！」と叫ぶアノ瞬間にも似た腰のウネリ（笑）。とにかく「オリジナル度」はかなり高いジョージなのです。

　でも、最近ソルダーノってみませんね（笑）。ベンガルとホゼなのかなメインは・・・解説じゃねぇ・・・申し訳ない。
