おすすめです！
安定したリンダの唄いっぷりを楽しめます。
古い歌も自分のモノにしてしまうリンダの歌唱力を楽しめます。
「星に願いを」も入っています。聴き所です。
出来たらWhat's New共々揃えて交互に聴いて楽しまれる事をおすすめします。
時系列では、What's Newを後にお聴きください。
簡単な紹介ですが、リンダのCDをまず一枚と言う方は、このCDか、What's Newを買えばまず間違いが無いと言って良いと思われます。
では、リンダを楽しんでください。

リンダ・ロンシュタットの歌声は勿論の事、
録音も最高です。
オーディオファンの方、必聴ですよ！

ネルソン・リドルと組んだリンダのスタンダード集の第３弾。私は、３作中、このアルバムが一番好きです。

１曲目のWhen You Wish Upon a Star（星に願いを）はディズニー映画の主題歌。ベット・ミドラーもディズニー映画の主題歌を歌っていますが、リンダとベットは、同世代なんですよね。そして同じく同世代で、ピノキオをはじめとするディズニー映画狂のスティーヴン・スピルバーグは、自らが製作したアニメ映画「アメリカ物語」の主題歌をリンダに依頼しています。

２曲目のBewitched, Bothered and Bewilderedは、この数年後の映画「ハンナとその姉妹」でうまく使われていた曲で、リンダはオリジナルに忠実に切なく歌っています。

４曲目のBut Not for Meは、ガーシュウィン兄弟の渋い名曲。Ｗｈａｔ’ｓ　Ｎｅｗに収録されていたＳｏｍｅｏｎｅ　ｔｏ　Ｗａｔｃｈ　Ｏｖｅｒ　Ｍｅほど有名ではありませんが、より渋い選曲に挑戦し、見事に成功しています。

５曲目のMy Funny Valentineは、説明するまでもない名曲ですね。ちなみに、Valentineという名前は、男性の名前としても女性の名前としても使われるそうなので、シナトラのような男性が歌っても、リンダのような女性が歌っても、大丈夫なんですよね。

６曲目のI Get Along Without You Very Wellも、いろいろな歌手がとりあげている曲で、気負わず歌っているリンダに好感が持てます。

７曲目のAm I Blueは、私にとっては、映画「脱出」でホーギー・カーマイケルが歌っていた曲。映画「脱出」は、「カサブランカ」の模倣作品といわれていますが、実は、「カサブランカ」よりも純粋な映画の中の映画です。フランシス・コッポラ監督の「コットン・クラブ」という映画の中で、ダイアン・レインという女優さんが、ぎこちなく歌っていたのも印象に残っています。軽く歌うと味が出るこの曲を、リンダもうまくさばいています。

８曲目のタイトル曲 は、渋めのFor Sentimental Reasons。

９曲目のStraighten up and Fly Rightで少しアップテンポになりますが、10曲目の Little Girl Blueで再び渋くなり、さらに、とどめの11曲目 'Round Midnightで幕を閉じます。

'Round Midnightは、このアルバムが出た少し後に、同名のフランス映画が封切られ、その映画の中でも取り上げられていました。渋い渋いジャズの名曲です。
