１９８４年発表のスティーブモーズファーストアルバム・・・カッコいいギターインスト炸裂です。まさかこの頃は彼がディープパープルに参加するなんて、夢にも思いませんでした。ほとんど日本では無名のミュージシャンズミュージシャンでしたから、このアルバムも知られていなかったと思います。基本的には超絶トリオによる演奏で、ロッドモーゲンステイン・ジェリーピークがリズムを固めています。このジェリーピークと言うベーシストの超絶技巧は必聴です・・・凄い！！ロッドはウィンガー・プラティパス等で知られていますが、ＤＩＸＩＥＤＲＥＧＳからスティーブと演奏している盟友です。ゲストとしてＤＲＥＧＳのｋｅｙTラビッツが１曲、超テクニシャン・アルバートリーが１曲参加してます。全曲捨て曲なしの、ギターインストアルバムの最高峰と言えましょう！！エリックジョンソンのＴＯＮＥＳもオススメします・・・オマケでした。

カンサスにも在籍し、現在はＤＰのギタリストも務めるスティーブモーズの84年に発表されたスティーブモーズバンドとしてのファーストアルバムです。メンバーはdrにロッドモーゲンシュタイン、bにジェリーピークという超絶トリオからなります。サウンドはエッジの効いた格好いいものから、カントリー調のもの、ブルージーなもの等々、ＤＲＥＧＳ同様、バラエティに富んでいますが、何れの曲も聴き応えがあるのは、さすが、スティーブモーズのソングライティング力といえるでしょうか。また、ギターの方も、超絶リズムをバックに気持ちよく弾きまくっています。ただ、派手なアレンジで聴かせるアルバムではなく、シンプルなサウンドのアルバムですので、ギタリストファンにお奨めのアルバムです。
