既に発売されたオリジナルアルバムの紙ジャケ盤もすべて購入した私としては､曲がほとんどダブるとわかっていながらもフルコンプのため迷わず購入しました。ジャケット､帯､ピクチャーレーベル等の外観の出来については既発のもの同様申し分なかったんですが、収録されてる内容が最悪でした。　発表当時のアナログ盤や80年代後半に初ＣＤ化されたものを聴いた事ある方なら誰でも気付く事ですが、このアルバムの目玉と言ってもいいべき曲が収録されてません。勿論表記されてる10曲は収録されています。しかし！最後の曲『After The Thrill Is Gone』が終わった後に収録されていた､当時としては珍しかった約１分のスタジオセッションの『隠しトラック』が収録されていませんでした。これはかなりショックでした。作り手側のミスなのか？現在のイーグルスサイドの意向なのか？発売元に問い合わせのメールをしても返事は来ませんでした。これから購入を考えられてる方は､この件を納得した上での購入をお薦めします。

イーグルスっていつ聴いてもいいねぇー。もしイーグルスのベスト盤の購入を考えているなら、これとグレーテストヒッツの二枚をお薦めします。これ二枚あれば他はいらない、とまではいいませんが、イーグルスの魅力にドップリと浸ることはできます。本当にいい選曲ですよね! 収録曲だと言いだせなくて、ホテルカリフォルニア、ニューキッドインタウン、ロングランなんかが好きですね。イーグルス入門編としては、これ以上のものはないと思います。

　非常に有名なバンドですが、私はこのアルバ
ムしか持っていません。
ホテル・カリフォルニアというヒット曲が聴き
たくて、購入したのを覚えています。たしか１９
９５年頃のことだったと思います。このグレイテ
ストヒッツ２は１９８２年の発表ですから、７０
年代の楽曲がぎっしりそろっているようです。

　正直、いい曲だしヒットするのは理解できる名
曲ホテル・カリフォルニアですが、曲調が単調で
何十回も聞いているうちに飽きてしまう曲です。

　しかし、他の曲は本当に何度聴いてもさっぱり
飽きません。ウェスト・コーストの情緒がうまく
描写されたサウンドはきっとあなたのハートを虜
にするはずです。

　このバンド、コーラスもきれいなんですよね。
ロックとはいえ、激しさよりもハーモニーを重視
しているようで、それまでメタルを聞いていた小
職には新しい音楽でした。古くても・・・・。

　　一番気に入っているのはロン・ランかな？
他にもいい曲があって迷うところです。

前作（VOL-1）の出来が良すぎなので今作が悪く見えてしまう。
ベストはもうこれでよいかな？って思ってしまったアルバムです。
