ジャクソン・ブラウンを始めあの時代の
バックギターリストとして有名なリンドレー。
近年ベンハーパーが弾いてるワイゼンボーン（膝に乗せて弾くネックも空洞のアコギ）
の名手として知られてます。（リンドレーの娘さんはベンの高校の同級生！）
現在は企業とは一線を置きインディペンデンスで音源をリリースされてます。
そしてこの作品は日本でもレコードはかなり売れ
リンドレーと言えば化け物！！とイメージがついてるようです。
またビザールギター（安物）の使い手の手本になる作品です。
入門編にも聞き返すのにも１枚持っときたい作品です。

jackson browneプロデュースによる「化けもの」david lindleyの初のソロです。日本盤のタイトルは、そのまま「化けもの」でした。jackson browneのバックで弾いていたギターの存在感とワールドミュージック指向が、無理なく無駄なくタイトにまとめられた傑作。独特のヴォーカルも魅力的です。この後の展開の原点となったアルバムです。
