このアルバムの２曲目は、いつ聴いても
新鮮です。アルバムがでて結構経つけれど
今買っても、新鮮ですよ！是非試乗で聴いてみて
ください。きっと欲しくなるぞ！！

名盤誉れ高いMONICAの1st。なんと当時15歳だというのだから驚き。
HIP-HOPに比べるとリアルタイムでもスルーしてた90's R&B/UK SOUL周辺なんですが、
このアルバム収録のM-11 "Before You Walk out of My Life"だけは12インチで
ムチャクチャ聴きこんだな〜。

上述の "Before You Walk out of My Life"ですが本当に良い曲ですね。
イントロからもうグッときちゃううーな超ラヴな極上スイートバラード。
まさに胸キュン、今聴いても全然アリ。これは女の子と聴きたい曲ですね。
MIXテープとかには恥ずかしくて入れれません！
この曲のためだけにアルバム買ったようなもんだしね。

この年代のR&Bってまだサンプリング主体のサウンドプロダクションじゃないから
割とソウル色強いんだよね。TLCの1stとかも聴き直したらすっごく良かったりするので、
最近自分の中で歌モノの良さってのが一回りしてわかってきたのかな。
