1995年発表の作品です。1984年発表「フレクサブル」での衝撃的なソロデビュー以降、一貫して変態＆テクニカルサウンドを展開していますが、デビュー作で見られた実験的な要素をさらに進化させた感じです。実験的と書くと何やら尻ごみしてしまいますが、今までになくハードロック色を前面に押し出しながら、それをベースに自由に遊びまくるヴァイという趣で結構安心して聴けます。今回は子供の声をサンプリングした音源を狂言回しにして、独自の変態ワールドを展開しています。

わずか30数分というミニアルバムだけに何となく物足りなさ感は否めませんが、進化し続けるヴァイの軌跡を辿るためには重要な意味をもつ作品。余裕のある人は、スタジオライブ的な同名のＤＶＤにまで手を伸ばしてみたら？

１９９５年リリースの「セックス＆レリジョン」に次ぐアルバム・・・性格的にはボーナスアルバム的なインストアルバム。内容はどちらかと言えば「フレクサブル」的な実験的アプローチのサウンドと「パッション＆ウォーフェア」的なインストスタイルを、ミックスした仕上がりです。全体的にロック色が強いので、御安心を！！１曲目「ＢＡＤＨＯＲＳＩＥ」邦題：悪魔のギタリストジャックバトラーは、彼が出演した映画「クロスロード」で披露した「汽車の音」を思わせるリフをモチーフにしたヘヴィなナンバー！！２曲目は師匠ジョーサトリアーニを彷彿させるブギーな曲！！５曲目「ヤーヨーガー」は邦題：愛しのバブバブファイアー、凄いなあこのセンス・・・自分のボンズがお話した内容をサンプリングして曲にしてます、個人的には大好き！！子煩悩ですね（笑）！！ラストを飾る「テンダーサレンダー」は、彼のギターが冴えわたる美しいバラード・・・この曲でのオルガンは、フランクザッパで一緒だったトミーマーズです！！日本盤にはボーナストラックが１曲入っているので、購入時は要チェック！！

　1995年、Steve Vaiが発表したミニアルバムです。
　（時期でいうと、VAI「Sex & Religion」とSteve Vai「Fire Garden」との間です）

　収録曲数は少ないものの、曲の質は極めて高く、バリエーションもあります。
　7弦ギターでの独特なHeavy感が楽しめるtr.1
　師匠Satriani風なHard Boogieチューン、tr.2
　珠玉の美しさを誇るバラード、tr.7　などなど。。。

　最も面白いのが、tr.5 「Ya-Yo Gakk」！！！
　Vai先生の御子息・Julian Vai君の「やよぎゃ〜♪」「う〜〜♪」といった声をサンプリングして、楽曲にしたもの。
　ちゃんとした楽曲になっており、ジュリアン君は、ある種の「ロック・スター」になってます！
　ジュリアン君の声を、ギターでなぞったり、シンクロさせたり。。。Vai先生の愛情あふれる1曲です。
　ホント、聴いてて楽しい！です。

　また、日本盤には、Bonus Tr.「San-San-Nana-Byoushi（三・三・七拍子）」が収録されてます。
　後年の「Alive in an Ultra World」では、
世界各国の伝統的な音楽を、いとも簡単に「自分のメロディー」にしてしまうという、離れ技を披露したVai先生ですが。。。
この曲では、「タ・タ・タン、タ・タ・タン、タ・タ・タ・タ・タ・タ・タン」という「三・三・七拍子」ハンドクラップが入っています。
　とても面白い曲です。

　このアルバムの遊び心を十分に堪能するには、日本盤をオススメします。
