最初に聴いた時は、期待とは裏腹に「何でこんな昔風の曲なの？」って思いました。　当時は某有名レコード屋の輸入盤コーナーにも置いてなく、オランダのファンクラブサイトヘ「ダッチ・ギルダー」を郵便局で換金して送ってようやく入手できた時代でした。　「７」のイントロからの人を食ったような旋律（？）、ああ、あれはレーザーハープ用だったんだと「モスクワ・ライヴ」を見てようやく分かったけどね。　で、今はと言うと、私的には「軌跡」と並ぶベスト１です。　非常に丁寧に作られているし、アナログシンセの分厚い音がその存在感で圧倒し、テルミンも復活（ライブではちゃんと演奏してくれてませんが）、デビュー・アルバムの「オキシジェン（幻想惑星）」よりはるかに完成度の点でも高い。　メディテーションとして聴いても良いけど、心地よくシンセ音響の洪水に浸れるのって他じゃないのでは？　テクノでは無理よね。　「８」と「１０」はシングルカットでも沢山のバージョンが出て有名だけど、ゆったりとした「９」と「１３」あたりがお気に入りかな？　このスタイルでまたアルバム出してほしいなぁ。　「Geometry of Love」や「メタモフォセス」もそれなりに好きだけど、もう１度原点回帰して！　（無理かな？）

デビュー作「OXYGENE」の続編。リリースに二十年近い隔たりがありながら、前編と違和感のない音色には驚かされる。全体の構成も前作を踏まえた起承転結があり、あの頃のジャンが好きだった人には垂涎ものだ。

1977年のデビューアルバム「OXYGENE」の続編です。
同じ音階を繰り返し、そこに様々な音を積み重ねて抑揚感を煽るというシンセサイザーミュージックの王道を行く音楽です。
とくにOXYGENE 11はカッコ良すぎます。速いテンポでピコピコ感があって、自分の身体がテクノロジーの中に溶け込んでいくようなワクワクした心地よさを感じます。
