映画もよかったが、このサウンドトラックもまたよい！メローなＲ＆Ｂとジャズが融合した１枚に仕上がっています。映画と同様にＰＯＥＴＲＹな歌詞もグー！
曲は"Hopeless"ではじまり、次に"Sweetest Thing"。Ｒ＆Ｂファンならご存知、グラミー賞受賞したLauryn Hill。彼女の歌声とアコースティックギターを堪能。そして、Maxwellのデビューアルバムに収録してあった"Something Something"はとてもメローにアレンジされてあり新鮮です。ジャズ・ベーシスト、Marcus Millerの"Rush Over "は1995年にリリースされた"TALES"という彼のアルバムから。彼のベースとMeshell Ndegeocello の歌声がマッチしていてお気に入りの１曲。ジャズ・ファンにはおなじみのJohn Coltraneの"In a Sentimental Mood"は切なくて悲しげなピアノ音が耳に心地よく。

アルバムの最初と最後には、映画でも使われたシーンから、詩の朗読が数分のみ収録されています。最初の詩は主演のLarenz Tate 、最後のは主演のNia Longが読んでいます。

リリースされてから数年たちますが、いまでもよく聞いているほどとても気に入っています。一生ものとなりました。

　"Love Jones"はセオドア・ウィッチャー監督による黒人の「お洒落な恋愛映画」で、これはそのサントラです。それっぽい「お洒落な」Jazz系の曲が入ってます。音楽マニアでない人の部屋のBGMにいい感じでしょう。ここでしか聴けないカサンドラ・ウィルソンの"You Move Me"一曲のために買いました。これは大変満足です。
