聴いてて感心するのはリズムアレンジがシャープなこと。ボトムが安定してます。そしてアナログシンセ類の使い方の憎いこと憎いこと。やられましたって感じです。このアルバムではローズピアノもかつぎだしている。いったいいつの音楽なんだと錯覚する、このへんは、レニークラビッツと同じ戦略だ。ベースラインもやたらかっこいいし、ギターのカッティングもEW&F顔負け。もしかしてこれってフェイク？？ってのを忘れさせるくらいグルーブしてるんで許す。なんかインコグニートはあまり売れずに、こいつらはメガセールスっていうのはなんか解せないが。シック、EW&Fが衰退した今、ダンスオリエンティドなコンテンポラリーのポジションはやつらががっちり押さえている。さすがにバラードはまだ青いけれど。腰をがんがん振らせてしまう強引さはさすがだ。

バンドアンサンブルもアレンジも無駄がなくつぼを押さえまくっている。ボーカルがブランドニューへビーズだったらもっと面白いのにと考えるのは私だけか？さりげなくローズ、ミニモーグを使うところが実ににくいっすねえ-。

ＭＤのＣＭがあまりに印象的で、生まれて初めて買ったＣＤです。一曲目のピアノの旋律はいつ聴いても新鮮で、何のＣＤを聴こうか迷った時にはついつい手が伸びてしまいます。ベースラインはファンクでありながら、落ち着いたピアノ、ヴォーカルから離れすぎていっていないので、しっとりしつつもノリの良い、ジャミ独特のグルーヴが存分に味わえます。このＣＤ聴いてると、イライラがどこかへいってしまいます。

ジャミロといえばこれ、という代名詞的作品ですよね。1曲目の「Virtual Insanity」がもう素晴らしい。ファンクやダンス、JAZZも入ってますかね。非常に心地よいんです。JKの歌声も自由さに溢れていて、どんな表現もリズムも軽やかに奏でます。技術の凄さ、クリエイティヴ面の凄さをこの曲からびんびん感じます。
このキャッチーさに続き、2曲目のクラブ風なダンスナンバーも続けてかっこいいんです。このキャッチさクールさは作品全体に貫かれてます。
4のようなスローなナンバーも聴けるのは、アルバムの効用を更に上げてくれます。R&Bというかファンクさならではのゴージャスさ、心地よさです。最高のムードが作れたりします。
