大当たりでした。数あるラフマニノフのCDの中でも、5指に入ると思われる大名盤です。1番にしてもいいと思います。

とにかくピアニストが上手い！ヴァフナゼなんて全然聞いたことのないピアニストですが、テクニックは間違いなく世界でもトップクラス。ラフマニノフを聞く快感は、あの過剰なまでの音の洪水に浸ることにあるということを、実感させてくれます。タッチの明快さ、節回しの巧みさ、ラフマニノフの世界を堪能できます。第1楽章の冒頭5分を聞いただけで、この人が只者でないことは分かるでしょう。

オーケストラは録音の都合か引き気味で、金管の音色に少しクセがありますが、こちらも素晴らしいです。たとえば第3楽章の第2主題の歌い方など、最高に美しいと思います（もちろん、それを引き継ぐピアノも素晴らしい）。

こんなのが実は某100円ショップで売られているCDの音源だったりするのですから、世の中分かりません。

皆さんのレビューを拝読して半信半疑購入いたしました。まさに皆さんのおっしゃるとおり！
今まで聞いてきた2番の中でも最高の1枚です。録音もすばらしい。日に何度も聞いています。
トビリシといえば最近ロシアとの戦闘がありましたが、ピアニストやオーケストラが無事であることを祈ります。とにかくお求めになって損はないというより買うべきです。

安さにつられてこのCDを買ってしまいましたが、このラフマニノフは凄い！
ピアノ、オケともに美しいです。今まで多くのラフマニノフの2番を聴いてきましたが、これに勝る演奏はありません。
気になってこのCDの演奏家をインターネットで探してみましたが、全くヒットしませんでした。世界には、素晴らしい音楽家がまだまだ眠っているということですね。
