　'93年、“メタル･ゴッド”JUDAS PRIESTと喧嘩別れ（？）したRob Halfordが、若手中心に組んだFIGHTの1st。（Dr.はJUDAS PRIESTのScott Travis）
　確かに、PRIESTとは似て非なる、それでいて非常にヘヴィなメタル作品です。当時Robが入れ込んでいたPANTERAに近い音楽性を持っていますが、全曲Robが書いているためかブリティッシュな香りもします。（その後のバンド・HALFORDでも思うのですが、アルバム全曲をRobが書いた1stは名盤で、メンバーも関与した2ndはパッとしない、と言う事実は、いかにRobの才能が素晴らしいかを物語っている気がします。）
　Robの超絶ハイトーンVo.が素晴らしい1（ScottのDr.も素晴らしい）、力強い2は、共に超名曲。その他、アルバム全体でテンポ良く構成されています。
　PRIESTの超名作「PAINKILLER」とは、その質が異なり、当時のファンの間でも賛否両論でした。しかし、紛れも無い事実は、本作がメタルの名盤であると言うこと。未聴の方で、ヘヴィな音楽が好きな人であれば、是非聴いて頂きたいアルバムです。

　コンヴェンションが忘れられない。プリーストをドロップアウトして「気合」いれて作った作品。

　１・２曲目は一度聴いたら頭に残るし・・・現在でも余裕でかっこいい。ＳＥから始って、スコットの２バス炸裂して、ロブのハイトーン！！間髪入れずに２曲目に突入する所も良いです。
　
　個人的に嫌な言い方だけど「ロブがプリースト」と、認めたくなる作品だった。ごおっつうメタルなアルバムです。何気に名盤・・・

　1993年、FIGHTの1stアルバムです。

　FIGHTは、JUDAS PRIESTを脱退したRob Halfordが結成したバンドです。

　メンバーは、
Rob Halford (Vo, JUDAS PRIEST), Russ Parrish (G, STEEL PANTHERのサッチェル),
Brian Tilse (G, Key), Jay Jay (B), Scott Travis (Dr, JUDAS PRIEST, RACER X)　です。

　当時のRobは、PANTERAなどのモダン・ヘヴィネスに傾倒していまして、
発売当初は、結構「賛否両論」なアルバムでした。
　ただ、今となっては、純粋に「いいメタルアルバム」です。

　「Into the Pit」〜「Nail to the Gun」の名曲から名曲への流れは、Robが本気であったことを証明します。
　また、終盤の「Kill It」や「Vicious」は、Liveでやれば絶対に盛り上がる曲だと思います。
　演奏については、スコット・トラヴィスのツーバスがかなりかっこよくて、目立ってます！
　ラス・パリッシュも、かなり切れがいいギターを弾いてます。

　HALFORD以後、このFIGHTは、ちょっと影が薄く感じられますが、
間違いなくMETAL GODが製作した「かなりの生命力を持ったメタル・アルバム」です。
　メタル史上、外せないアルバムだと思います。
