脅威の傑作『Bat Out Of Hell』の印税問題で、盟友ジム・スタインマンとコンビを解消し、トム・ダウドをプロデューサーに迎えて望んだ1983年のサード・アルバム。

ジムのミュージカル的な仰々しいサウンド、大曲志向から一転、軽いノリのサウンド、コンパクトな曲風を前面に出したのだが、その分曲も小粒な印象が拭えず、2や7を除くとあまり印象に残らない作品。前二作と比べると聴きやすいのだが…。
セールス的にも不発で、次の『Bad Attitude』ではレコード会社を移籍している。

なおこの年は、ジム・スタインマンの手がけたボニー・タイラーの『Faster Than the Speed of Night』がヒット。そこからのシングル、「Total Eclipse Of The Heart」は全米No.1ヒット。また、エア・サプライのシングル「Making Love Out Of Nothing At All」も全米２位（その時の１位は前記の「Total Eclipse~」）のヒットと、ジム・スタインマンが売れっ子プロデューサーとなった年で、二人の明暗はくっきりと分かれることとなった。

日本では売り込み方を失敗したアーチストの代表例。ルックス優先だから厳しいか？？『バットアウトオブヘル』が傑作それ以後は低迷期。
これはマジックが消えたアルバム。楽曲がさえない。
アレンジもいまいち。１０点中３点
