このアルバムでも既に、『ジャズ・シンガー』としての曲も何曲か歌い始めている。が、実は僕はこのアルバムが一番好きだ。特に最初の2曲、『Once upon a time』と『Never take a chance』はボビー節完成の佳曲と思っている。1982年の『CARRY ON』から本作までのホビー・コールドウエルを聴いて過ごす時間は何事にも変えがたいものがある。逆に言えば、その後のボビーはきらいということでもあるのだが・・・。ボビーは徐々にジャズ・シンガーに路線を変えていくのだがやっぱりAORな雰囲気いっぱいな頃のボビーにとどめをさすというのが、大方のリスナーの意見ではと思う。

Bobby Caldwellを聞き初めてからもう20年位経つでしょうか。
聞き始めのきっかけは忘れましたが、彼の歌声に魅了され、それ以来
彼の声はいつでもずっと私の傍にいます。
今ではあの当時の熱狂的なAORブームは影をひそめましたが、彼の音楽への一貫した姿勢、変わらぬ魅力的な歌声等、尊敬しています。数あるアルバムのどれをとってもすばらしい。特にこの「Where is Love」は彼の魅力が凝縮された一枚だと思います。

会社からの帰宅途中、ビル群の夜景に囲まれた首都高速を走行しながら
彼のやさしくハスキーでメロウな声を聞いて「明日も頑張れるかな。」なんて今まで何度勇気付けられたことでしょう。
まだ聞いていない方は是非聞いてみてください。

全ての曲が最高です。歌唱力はもちろんのこと､ボビーが作った曲は本当にいい曲ばかりで心が落ち着きます。 甘い歌声がなんともいえません。
