ビル・ラズウェルがプロデュースしたスラロビの超名作！全編ノンストップで展開していく圧巻の１枚で、オハイオ・プレイヤーズの“FIRE”やポインター・シスターズの“YES, WE CAN CAN”など、斬新な解釈のカヴァーも相当な格好良さ！さすがにもう14年も前の作品なので音色は古めかしい箇所もあるけれど、途中ブレイク的に使われるストリングスのアレンジなんかは今の耳にも十分新鮮。騙されたと思ってぜひ聴いてみて欲しいです！

ビルラズエル、マテリアルのメンバーがからんだアルバム。
譜面が読めない＝スライ＆ロビー。さすがです。
ちなみに参加したメンバーを記録しておきます。
ブーチーコリンズ＝ベース＝ファンク大王
ニッキースコペリテス＝ギター＝邪悪なギタリスト、ソロあり
パット　スロール＝ギター＝ヒューズ　スロールで有名
バーニー　ウオレル＝鍵盤＝Ｐファンク

ヘンリー　スレッギル＝サックス
シャインヘッド＝ボーカル
ゲｰリー　クーパー＝ボーカル
バーナード　ファウラー＝ボーカル＝スティービーサラスと組む
なんとブーチーはギターで参加なのです。ベースだとブーチーのアルバムになっちゃいますから。フェアライトなんぞを使用してはったりかましてるアルバムです。ファンク度数はか!なり高いです。

ゲストのメンツがそうさせています。濃密なお遊びはいったファンク
１０点中８点。
この中のメンツの多くがスライドしてハービーハンコックのロックイットバンドに参加するわけですね。だからなんだか似ています。

参加メンバーがとにかく豪華。さすがS＆R、よくぞここまでやってくれました！！なのに小奇麗にまとまってるわけではなく、これはもうレゲエとかじゃなく、そんなこと全く関係なく、とにかくイっちゃってます。ゴリゴリのファンク、濃い！はたまたPAT THRALLも白人と思えないギターを弾いてます。あらためてさすがだ！！確かこの後でASIA加入、凄まじいお人だ！
マジぶっ飛んでます。クロいビートに慣れていようがいまいが、飢えていようがいまいが全く関係なく聴けます。体を預けられる一枚。
