グレッグ・オールマンとディッキー・ベッツのソロ活動のあとにリリースされたオールマンズ６枚目のアルバム。ブルース・ロック色は影を潜め、グレッグ・オールマンのポップR&B色、ディッキー・ベッツのカントリー色、そしてチャック・リーヴェルのフュージョン色が浮き彫りになっている。
1曲目はマディ・ウォータースのブルースナンバーだがディッキー・ベッツのギターのトーンは鋭さに欠け、マイルド。スライド・ギターも聴かれるが、どんよりとしていてフレーズに切れがなく、オールマンズのブルース・カヴァー曲としてはかなり見劣りする。
一方、良い曲もある。（２）はランブリン・マンを更に軽くしたようなカントリー・ロック。カントリーの要素が濃くなっているが、それはそれでディッキー・ベッツの持味が出ている。（４）はアルバム・タイトルのバラード。グレッグの傑作ソロの「レイドバック」の系譜。（６）がこのアルバム最大の山場の長尺インスト曲。曲も演奏もたいへん素晴らしい。フュージョン風味のロック。
全体的にはデュエイン・オールマンがいた時とは全くの別バンドの音で、前作には残っていた骨太さが、ほとんど消え失せた。個々の曲はなかなかの完成度だが、アルバムとしてのまとまりがなく、そしてバンドとしての方向性をも失い、このあとの活動休止を予感させるアルバムだ。

南部の音楽というと泥臭さが代名詞になっているが、Duaneの死後やや洗練された新たな一面を見せたアルバムである｡これはキーボードのChuck Leavelの力によると子度が大きいようだ｡なんと言っても白眉は6だが、6の緊張感あるセッションから7のくつろぎへと移行する瞬間が至高の時である｡オールマンズの高い音楽性を示した佳作｡
