普段、洋楽...特にこういった系統は滅多に聴かない私ですが
洋楽（ハードロック、スラッシュメタル等）大好きな友人の
お勧めで数年前いきなり買ってみました。
私は幼い頃より楽器を習っていましたが　メロディーがとても
クラシカルで美しい事と迫力あるギター演奏に衝撃を受けました!
それらが見事に調和していて“こういった音楽もあるんだ...”と。
Yngwieについて詳しいことは全く知りませんでしたが　
ただ“凄いな~”と何度も繰り返し聴いたものです。　
今も大切に持っています。
CD一枚を通じてストーリー性を感じましたし　
アルバムとしての完成度もかなり高いと感じました。
I'll see the~などはカラオケでも歌ってしまった程。
あまり20代（当時は）の女の子が歌うものではないですかね?
最近の彼の作品はそういえば聴いていないのですが
多少方向性など変わったのでしょうか?　
とにかくこの作品はなじみのない私が聴いてもカッコイイです。

稀代の名作です。

天才ＧＵＩＴＡＲＩＳＴであるＹＮＧＷＩＥが初めて弾きたいだけ
弾けるように作った作品で、ＶＯＣＡＬのＪＥＦＦ　ＳＣＯＴ　ＳＯＲＴ
も最高の歌唱を見せています。
特にどの曲がいいと選べないくらい名曲が並んでおりますが、
筆者的にはイントロから数えて３曲目のＤＯＮ’Ｔ　ＬＥＴ　ＩＴ　ＥＮＤ

なんて、ＶＯＣＡＬラインを含めてが名曲だと思っていますが、
他の曲もいずれ劣らぬ名曲そろいです。

特筆すべきは、ＪＥＦＦの歌唱であり、楽曲に非常によくマッチしています。
曲の出来も、ひょっとしたら最近の作品よりも充実しているかも。

とにかく、文句なしに買いでしょう、これは。

なお、イントロの重低音は、ＣＤでは再現できないくらいの音域での低音が<!BR>入っており、アナログレコードでは更に重厚なサウンドとなっており、
迫力満点であります。

（でも今ではＣＤしかないから、どうせい言うネン？？）

85年発表の、イングヴェイ２枚目のソロアルバムです。前作がインスト物にウェイトが置かれていたのに対し、このアルバムでは、インスト３曲、ボーカル入り８曲とウェイトが逆転しています。イングヴェイというと、とかく早弾きが注目されますが、この頃のイングヴェイの作曲能力の高さも特筆すべきかと思います。北欧系に多い哀愁ある美しいメロディに、イングヴェイのg、ヤンスヨハンソンのkey、そしてジェフスコットソートのvoが重なり、非常にドラマチックなサウンドを創り出しています。もちろん、イングヴェイのgも絶好調で、これでもかと鋭く美しいリフを繰り出しています。
やや音がこもっている点が残念ですが、それを補って余りある聴き応えのあるアルバムになっています。
