長年探し続けてやっとCDをGETできました。やはり「最高！」の一言に尽きますね。この曲に出会ったのは、確か自分が高校生ぐらいでした。当時あまり洋楽に興味がなかったのですが、この曲を聴いた瞬間鳥肌が立ったのを今でも覚えています。８０年代を代表する１曲ですよね。あれから１８年近くも経ちましたが、やはり名曲は時を越えて良いものなんですね。

８０年代中期にエイドものアルバムやイベントがたくさんありましたが、やはり王者はこれじゃないでしょうか。初めて聞いた時の感動が忘れられないタイトル曲はマイケル・ジャクソンとクインシー・ジョーンズが作った泣きのメロディーと胸を突くコーラス。今後、再発をして更に泣ける１２インチ・ヴァージョンの収録もお願いしたいとこらです。他の収録曲もブルース・スプリングスティーン、プリンスを始め、小林克也氏が出てきて解説しそうな８０ｓの香りが漂う名曲揃い。優しく、ホロ苦い気持ちになれる一枚。

２０年近く前にこれが発表されたときの感動はいまだに忘れられません。とても高い値段でビデオを買いましたが、内容がその値段を高いと思わせないもので満足していました。２０年近くたっても、時々見ています。つまり中身は何の文句の付けようが無いものです。

しかし、ＤＶＤになったのになぜチャプチャーリストが無いのでしょう。レイ・チャールズがアドリブでピアノを弾くシーンとか、スティーヴィー・ワンダーがボブ・ディランのまねをして歌うシーンなど、いくつかの名シーンを何回も見たいと思って改めて買ったのに．．．。
ということで星４つです。
