ＫＩＳＳ史上の隠れた名盤、ＰＯＰさを前面に押し出した音作りは、けっして今のアルバムにひけをとってない作り、シャンディ、トゥモロー、なんてポール節全開の名曲。この時期バンドがごたごたしていた為なのと、時代がハードな音へ流れていた為、結果的に損をしたアルバムなので、ぜひ聞いて再評価して欲しい作品です。聞いてね！

　初期オリジナルメンバーのラストとなるこのアルバムは、いままでのKISSのアルバムとは違う。いわゆるグレイテストヒッツ等にことごとく漏れてしまう、万人ウケしないようです。ですが、曲は悪くないと思うんですが・・リーダー曲の入り、ポールの雄叫びかかけ声か、「アウ！」の入りだけでも瞬殺ものです。また、エースの曲「TALK TO ME」「TWO SIDE・・」「TORPEDO GIRL」が抜群で絶倫・・他個人的名曲の「TOMORROW」や「EASY AS IT SEEMS」など、極まった曲はないのかもしれませんが、アルバム単位でこれだけのいい曲があれば、隠れた名盤といってもいいくらいなものだ。個人的にはKISSのアルバムで3枚ならば、間違いなくこれが入ります。

　しかし、ウケが良くない・・外部ライターが多くメンバー通しで作った曲がない、さらにピーターおらずで、メンバー間の関係の希薄さや相乗効果からくる神がかり的なグルーブがないのは確かにあるが、個々の能力の高さはもうこのグループの枠に収まらなくなっているかのよう、そうビートルズの「LET IT BE」ということか・・しかし、是非聴いてみて下さい、いい曲ばかりです！！

評判悪いみたいですね・・・。私などめは実にキッスらしいアルバムだと思うのですが。確かにピーターは制作には関わっていないし、エースも参加していない曲があります。でも、一番の問題はプロデュースだと思いますよ。確かに音色はギターを引っ込めた軽めのものになっています。でもキッスって理屈のいらない楽しいロックンロールが基本だと思うんですよ。その基本から逸脱はしていません。イズザットユーやトゥモローなどはいかにもキッスらしいし、エースは相変わらずロックンロール三昧だしね。私がこのアルバムで一番好きなのは、やっぱりシャンディですね。実はこの曲にはポール以外のメンバーは参加していません。それだけにポールのソロアルバムに入っていてもおかしくないような、夢みるようなロマンティックなポールの魅力が堪能できる名曲だと思います。でも飽くまでもキッスにラヴガンを求め続ける人には不向きなアルバムだと思います。
