長いこと　レコ-ドを聞いていました。盛り上がりに欠けるので、評価も低かったライブです。しかし　CDになって、なかなか　いい。楽曲がいいんです。しかし、1曲目のレイラは危なっかしいですね。後半のピアノバ-ジョンまで演奏していますが、スライドのロン．ウッドがイマイチです。やり直したかったでしょう。でも　この曲のサイドギタ-のカッティングは　ライブ用に、この頃にすでに完成されていたんですね。ピ-トなかなかいい仕事です。この曲がこのコンサ-トの1曲目なので入れる必要があったのでしょう。ロ-ル．イット．オ-バ-からエリックは、ギタ-のフレ-ズも伸びてきてなかなかのってきますよ。ここから　ベル．ボトム．ブル-スまで、感激しました。ベストテイクです。歌も、バックの演奏もオリジナルを崩すことなく、かなり盛り上がります。また、クラプトンのライブ盤でギタ-バトルというのは　あまり聴いたことがないですが、このCDもそんな感じです。曲の後半　引っ張るのかと思いきや、やっぱり　終わります。ピ-トの爆発もない。でも　間奏のギタ-ソロは　ミスト-ンも少なく　メロディ-を生かしたいいギタ-ソロが聞けます。しかし　この人は　その時の自分の状況が　ルックスにも出ていて、面白い人ですね。やっぱり　男前は得だな。

もともとのレインボーコンサートのレコードがかなり酷かったせいか、
音質改善と再選曲が施されたこのCDはかなり評判がいい。実際、クラ
プトンが一番かっこよかった時代の音であり、ゲストミュージシャン
も実力は十分。悪かろうはずが無い。演奏もかなりワイルドでスリリ
ング。

しかし、である。やっぱりクラプトンの70年代の現在CD化されている

ライヴ音源をあれこれ聴いた後では、ここでの演奏は寂しいものだ。
クラプトンの演奏そのもののクオリティーを求めるのならば、このア
ルバムより先に聴くべきものはたくさんあると思う。

[E.C. was Here]も、そうだし[Live in Seventies]も然り。

一般的に酷評されるこのレコードだが、昔の収録曲の少ないアナログ時代からわたしは結構好きだった。メンバーのせいもあるが、どことなくブラインドフェイス的なグルーブ、タウンセンドやウッドの力量によるうねり等、やはりあなどれない演奏だ。
