ザックリとしたギター・サウンドが印象的なアルバム。ウェラーのソロ作品の中でも最も”ロック”色が強く、ウェラー渾身のシャウトも随所で聴くことができます。彼の少々抑え気味なヴォーカル、楽曲が好きな人にとってはこのアルバムがベスト、とはいかないでしょうが、個人的には彼の力強いヴォーカルと、ラフなロック・サウンド（演奏）が好みなので、★5つです。他の彼の作品と比べると、一般的な評価は決して高いとはいえないと思いますが、僕にとっては最高のアルバムです。ザ・ジャムの後期~ザ・スタイル・カウンシルのウェラーに躊躇を覚えた人にこそ聴いて欲しい、近年のウェラー作品としては最もガッツのあるロック・アルバムとなっています。

たまたまラジオで聞いて気に入ったのでＣＤを買ってみた。それまでスタイルカウンシルのイメージがあり、あまり重視してなかったが、このアルバムを聞いて見直した。英国ロックの特徴である、太く甘いサウンド、ぶっきらぼうなギターが骨太ロックであるが、そこにソウルなリズムを加えておしゃれでシックな香りをちりばめている。かっこいい。このときのツアーで来日した際、見に行ったところ、やはりかっこよかった。チューブアンプの太い音にKNOCKOUT。
