英語圏で大声で歌ったら生命の危険にさらされること間違いなしの超名曲ぞろい。幸い国内では紳士淑女も頭を真っ白にして歌えます。落ち込んでるときに歌えば何もかも吹っ飛ばしてくれる曲ばかり。Always~(冗談抜きの超名曲！亡きグレアムを思い出しつつ聴くと微笑みつつも泣けてくる・・)で口笛吹くも良し、悪友とSit On My FaceやLumberjack Songを大合唱するも良し。Medical Love Songで医学に、Oliver Cromwellで歴史に習熟するも一興。ブルースたちといっしょに哲学だって学べちゃうかと思えば生命の神秘や宇宙について考えちゃったり。おっと実はすごいアルバムだったんですね。おすすめです。

タイトルどおりモンティ・パイソンの「歌」ばかり入ってます。
テレビ版や映画、ＣＤの中で使われていたあの曲この曲、・・・と目白押しです。
スケッチ同様、何度繰り返して聞いてもぜんぜん飽きない傑作ぞろいです。
歌詞を見ながら、いっしょに歌って脳みその痛みをふっ飛ばしましょう。

町の真中で「エヴリスパ~ム」と上機嫌で口ずさんで、

ふと我に返りちょっと恥ずかしくなったりして。

個人的にはグラハム派なので彼が歌っている曲が少ないのが寂しい。

とはいえ
モンティ・パイソンが好きな人、
「パイソニアン」はこの１枚で音楽のパイソンワールドも楽しんでみては。

パイソンズ好きな「まともじゃない」あなたなら、きっとこのめちゃめちゃな曲どもから、ほかのどんな曲からももらえない元気をもらえるでしょう！！

あの有名なきこりになりたかった殺人理髪師の♪「Lumberjack Song」や、ちょっと前にテレビＣＭでも流れていた映画「ライフ・オブ・ブライアン」の名曲♪「Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life」、エリック・アイドル不朽の名曲♪「Galaxy Song」などなど、パイソンマニアなら楽しめること間違いなしですよ！

でも本当に楽しむためには、パイソンズのスケッチや映画をとことん見たおしたほうがいいでしょうねえ。
