1987年リリース・・・86年急逝したフィルライノットに捧げられたアイルランド魂炸裂のアルバムです。当時を象徴する打ち込みのサウンドを多用している為、ドラムは全編サンプリングによるものです・・・ロックはドラマーが叩いていた方が絶対いいですよね。ゲイリームーアのギタープレイは、気合いを感じるくらい凄いです・・・本当メロディー天下一品！！4曲目「ローナー」はマックスミドルトンのペンによるインストで、コージーパウエルのアルバムのカバー・・・コージーの方ではデイブクレムソンが弾いてます。

"Wild Frontier"はJeff Beckの"Blow By Blow"みたいな物かな。地に着いたギター＆サウンド！　これぞゲーリー魂が伝わってくるアルバムである。生き生きとギターを弾いていると感じるのは私だけかな？このアルバム以降、また方向性を見失ってしまったみたいで寂しい限りである。（離婚とかも影響しているみたいだし。）色々な楽曲を取り入れているが、どれもゲーリーではないような気がする。ちなみに、クライング・イン・ザ・シャドウを本田美奈子が歌ったのが、いけなかったのかもしれない。しかし、ゲーリーと本田美奈子の接点が未だに謎だ・・・。
