Album Details

Japanese only SHM paper sleeve pressing. The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing* SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc* allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.

70年代のロックの薫りがするアメリカ産ハードロックバンドの4枚目。いかにもこのバンドらしい「SHE WANT SHE WANT」「WONDERFUL WORLD」などに加えて、「SOLUTION」などいつになくへヴィな楽曲も含まれている。カヴァー曲の「GAMES PEOPLE PLAY」が印象に残ってしまうあたり、他のスタジオ盤に比べると曲の質が低いように感じる。

TESLAを知らなかったがジャケットに惹かれて買って聴いてみるとビックリ!後年、評価が低いようだが地味にいいアルバムだと思う。特に4・13曲目は歌詞、曲ともにセンスに溢れ美しい。TESLAの一枚を選ぶなら俺は迷わずこのアルバムを推すね!

　1994年、TESLAの4th Album。

　いつものように、骨太アメリカン・ハードロックですが、
tr.2やtr.7は、今までにない、「独特なへヴィさ」「独特なドライブ感」があって、かっこいいです。
（もともと、「もうちょっとヘヴィーにしてもいいのに。。。」と思っていたので。。。）
　毎度のバラードも、イイ曲入ってます。

　ハスキーヴォイスに磨きがかかり、
ツインギターもエレキ・アコギ織り交ぜ、いいところに来ます。
　堂々とした演奏には、余裕すら感じられます。

　全体的に、
・　曲の質が高い
・　歌唱・演奏の質が高い
・　アレンジがしっかりしている

　と、いうことで、実は、かなりいいアルバムなんです。
　ただ、「コレ！」という曲がないだけなんですよ。。。

　長く付き合えるアルバムです。
