1、6はＳＡＭＭＹのというよりロック界屈指の名曲。自然に身体が動き出します。しかし、決して家で聴いてはイケマセン。車に乗りましょう。それもカリフォルニアの青い空の下を！！　まあここは日本だけど飛ばしたくなる気持ちになること請け合い。そして飛ばしすぎたと感じた時は4で爽やかな気分になりましょう。ＳＡＭＭＹお得意のパターンの曲です（実は私はこのパターンの曲が一番好き）　一回でいいからソロＬＩＶＥを観たかったなあ。それもアメリカで・・・

１９８４年リリース・・・ソロとしては、通算９作目にあたる模様。キャピトル時代はもちろんアメリカでは有名だったと思いますが、ローカルな印象が否めませんでした・・・が、ＧＥＦＦＥＮに移籍してからはワールドワイドなミュージシャンになったと感じます。この時期はまだヴァンヘイレンに加入していないわけですが、テッドテンプルマンのプロデュースなんてのを見ると、何かしらの運命をあらためて感じてしまいます・・・サミーヘイガーがテッドと組みたかったようですね。音の方は貫禄十分のハードロックで、ラジオでガンガンかかりまくる曲が並んでいます・・・まさに１曲目なんて典型で、元気いっぱいのサウンドですよ！！個人的には、ＨＳＡＳな印象を受ける８曲目「バーニングダウンザシティ」なんてのが、カッコ良くて好きです・・・どっしりしたサウンドが心地よい！！メンバーは、サミーヘイガー（Ｇ／Ｖｏ）・ビルチャーチ（Ｂ）・ジェシーハームス（Ｋｅｙ）・デヴィッドローサー（Ｄｒ）・ゲイリーフィル（Ｇ）・・・オジーオズボーンと同じで、名前がそのままバンドとして機能しています。日本盤は現在おそらく廃盤なので、輸入盤で入手するしかないと思います。それにしても、この馬鹿げた（笑）ジャケットのセンスは、凄いよね（笑）！！

このアルバム発表後に来日公演が予定されて、当時名古屋で住んでいた私はチケット発売開始日にプレイガイドに駆け込みました。ＧＥＴした席は２列目中央！しかし・・・余りにもチケットが売れず来日公演は中止に・・・・。泣く泣くチケット払い戻ししましたが、グレー地にこのアルバムのロゴが中央に印刷されていたあのチケット・・・記念に取っておけばよかったなぁ。SammyがVan Halenに参加し、世間がSammyのことを急に取り上げ始めたとき、「今さら・・・・」と思ったりしました。よし坊さんも書かれているように　＃１．＃４がこのアルバムを語る上でのすべてですね。私の夏のdriveには＃４は欠かせません。＃１はVan HalenでのLiveで取り上げられたりしていましたね。このアルバム自体が、素晴らしい出来とはいえないかもしれませんが、当時の西海岸のハードロック シーンを彩る一枚（というより、SAMMYが彩る一人）といえますね。
