Queen brought a whole new meaning to the phrase over the top. While rock & roll flamboyance stretched back at least as far as Little Richard, Freddie Mercury continued to camp it up, taking little seriously and smirking at the music's growing pretensions while partaking in them no small bit. Many of the band's singles hold up extremely well, later tracks such as "Hammer to Fall" as much as prime-era numbers such as "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Killer Queen," and "You're My Best Friend." クイーンに興味を持ち、どのアルバムを買うか迷ってるなら
まずこの「Greatest Hits １＆２」が１番いいと思います。

この低価格で、たくさんのクイーンの曲が聞けるからです。
特に気に入った曲があるなら、次はオリジナル・アルバムを
聞いてみて下さい。輸入盤なら価格も安く、購入しやすいし

このアルバムには入れなかった、素晴らしい曲がたくさんあります。

私のお薦めは「JAZZ」です。「NEWS OF THE WORLD」が世界中で
売れに売れ、メンバーが自信と余裕を持って世に送り出した
傑作中の傑作です。１曲目の「Mustapha」などは特に聞いてほしい
曲です。きっと度肝を抜かれますよ。

クイーンは偉大なる足跡をたくさん残してます。彼らの軌跡を

辿るスタートにこのアルバムは最適です。

本アルバムはかなり安値ですが歌詞カードが入っておらず、24bitリマスターされていません。しかし、ジュエルズとどちらを買うか迷っている方は、私は本アルバムをお奨めします。ジュエルズは最新のリマスターをされていて、音質が良いと言われていますが、ジュエルズはCCCDであるので、多少音質が落ち、しかもCDプレイヤーが壊れる可能性もあるという厄介なものなのです。それならば、歌詞カードは入っていなかったとしても、お値段の手ごろな本アルバムを購入したほうが、私は得だと思います。

Queenは当然この二枚組みのベストだけで語れるようなバンドではないのですが、やはりこの
値段でこれだけ素晴らしい曲をまとめて聴けるので若い世代でQueenを聴いたことない人に是非おすすめします。そして気に入ったらオリジナルを一枚目から集めっていってさらに感動してほしいです。
