1-4はNervous breakdown EPから
5-9はJealous again EPから
11-13はSix pack EPから
10はCracks in the sidewalkから、
14はChunksから、
13はLouie louie EPから収録。
Henry Rollinsが加入する前までの
Black Flagを大体掴むことが出来ます。

チープだが妙に迫力のある荒々しいサウンドは
この頃のBlack Flagならでは。
Greg Ginnの他には、Chuck Dukowski,
Braian Migdol,Robo,Keith Morris,Chavo(Ron Reyes),
Dez Cadenaらがメンバーとしてクレジットされています。

ストレートなPUNKらしい魅力が溢れているのは、Henry Rolling加入前の初期Black Flag。
その時期のSingle盤を集めたのがこのコンピレーション・アルバム。
"Nervous Breakdown"、"Depression"などストレートな名曲が並ぶ一方、"Dameged I"のようなヘヴィーな一面も垣間見られる。
パンク・ファンには是非聞いてもらいたい名盤。

と思ってるのは俺だけ？？高1の夏、初めて買ったハードコアのアルバムがこれでした。その日から半年間はずっと聞いてましたね、今でも週1回は聞いてます。これ聞いたあとはもうメロコアなんていうKUZU音楽は聞けなくなりますよ、マチガイなく、、
