　１９８２年作品、一般的にはホールオーツのファミリーマンのオリジナルが収録されているくらいの捉え方かもしれないが、この作品は聞き込めば聞き込むほどに充実した濃厚な味に気がつくようになる。特に1は２０分以上の大作だが、密度の濃さはチューブラーベルズ以上だし、前半の荒々しさ、この曲を完成させた時の充足感は相当なものであっただろう。一般受けのためのファミリーマンやカンフー映画風なボコーダーのタイトル曲などもいいが、B面のベストトラックは3だと思う。4のテーマは中国の天台山？、この曲にはカールパーマーが参加している。

８２年発表の８作目。マギー・ライリー(vo)、モーリス・パート(per、k)、ティム・クロス(k)、リック・フィン(g) らとマイク・オールドフィールド・グループを結成して製作されたアルバム。
ちなみに４．にカール・パーマーがパーカッションで参加している。
１．は前作に収録されていた曲の続編であり、イラン・パイプ (バグ・パイプのような管楽器) をフューチャーした曲である。曲そのものもアイルランド辺りの伝承歌のような雰囲気があり、マギー・ライリーのヴォーカルも絶品である。(ちなみにパート３が『クライシーズ』に収録されている。) ドラマチックで有機的な編成と生々しくも叫びにも聞こえるマイクのギターは、ある意味で彼のベストといえるものかもしれない。前に前に前進していこうというポジティヴな生気のようなものが満ち溢れた・・・それくらいの名曲である。２．はシングルでもヒットしており、ホール＆オーツも取り上げたマイク流ポップスの初期の傑作。やはりマギーのヴォーカルが素晴しい。３．は前半はトイ・ピアノをフューチャー、中盤以降はヴォコーダーによるヴォーカルをフューチャーしている。穏やかで夢心地なサウンドは子供の頃の思い出を呼び起こさせる。後半はややハードなバロック風になり、フォーク・タッチのマギーのヴォーカルが登場するという劇的な展開を見せるが、いたって自然に聞こえるのはマイクならでは。４．はカッティングをヴォコーダーに通したであろうバッキング音が新鮮な曲。５．はおそらくマイク自身によるヴォコーダーのヴォーカルとマギーのヴォーカルが交互に登場する曲。ドラムスの生々しい音と１．にも登場したイラン・パイプの音色も印象的。このアルバムの魅力を結集した内容であり、１．をコンパクトに再編集したかのような楽曲である。時に素頓狂なマイクの生声も登場する。
