ＢＲＡＮＤ　Ｘのセカンドになります。個人的にはファーストより好きで、ＬＩＶＥＳＴＯＣＫと共に良く聴きました。（今でも聴いている）。ジョン・グッドサルのギターが堪能できるアルバムでしょう。曲もいい。この頃のＢＲＡＮＤ　Ｘは独特の雰囲気とサウンドセンスがあってとても好きです。4.Hate Zone　6.Disco Suicide 8.Malaga Virgen 9.Macrocosm は丁々発止のインタープレイ大大会が楽しめます。パーシーのベースも、ラムりーのキーボードも、フィルのドラムも凄いですね。Ｄｓの音圧がもう少し強めに録音されていたら更に言う事無しだったんですが、まあ良しとしましょう。ＢＲＡＮＤ　Ｘてどんなグループと知りたい人は、このアルバムかＬＩＶＥＳＴＯＣＫを聴いてください。ハマるとなが~く楽しめます。（私は２５年は聴いているわ！）

ヒプノシスのジャケットに惹かれていたので、紙ジャケ化を期に購入しました。
いきなりのヴォーカルナンバーに意表をつかれますが、基本的にはプログレテイストの超絶技巧フュージョンといった感じで、メンバーそれぞれ（特にリズム隊）のテクニックの応酬には度肝を抜かれます。
特に「DISCO SUICIDE」以降B面の曲での疾走感はすごいです。
ただ個人的にはもうちょっとロック寄りの引っかかりのある音のほうが好みですが。

７７年発表のＢＲＡＮＤＸ２枚目のアルバムです。メンバーは、前作から、ｐｅｒのモーリスパートが加わっていますが、サウンド的には、前作同様です。というよりは、前作以上に妖しさ（変態度）を増したＪＡＺＺロックになっていますが、この時期の彼ら独特の浮遊感あるサウンドを楽しむことができます。
ただ、このバンドの場合、やはりサウンド以前に楽しめるのは、各メンバーのプレイ。どのメンツも、何れ劣らぬテクニシャンそろいで、あちこちですげぇと笑みがこぼれてしまうプレイを披露しています。サウンドのキーを握っているのは、前作同様、パーシージョーンズのビョンビョン、ウネウネしたｂでしょうが、今回は、Ｔ４を筆頭に、グッドサルのギターも、大きく貢献しています。
決してコマーシャルではないので、万人向けでは有りませんが、プログレにも通じる欧州系妖気漂うフュージョンファンにはお奨めのアルバムです。
