PANTERAのVulgar Display of Power、MACHINE HEADのBurn My Eyesに並ぶ９０年代の超名盤。発売されてから１年~２年経ってから評価されたという意味では“早すぎた名盤”だったと思う。某Ｂ！誌では７９点だったし（はなからアテにならんレヴューだが）．．．
そして、９９年~から２０００年あたりからようやくフォロワー（特にバートンの）が登場し始め現在のヘヴィーミュージックの原型となっている。
今聞いても１０年前のアルバムだという事が信じられない１枚。
必聴！！

デジパック仕様のfear factory 2nd albumなかなか日本では手に入りづらいアルバムである。ボーナストラックを含む１５曲はノーマルの2ndに比べ一曲多いアルバムとなっていて、紙ジャケが嫌いな人でないならば絶対にこっちの方をお勧めします。

FEAR FACTORYの名をメタル界に知らしめた、彼らのセカンドアルバム。
高速で機械的に叩き出されるリズムと攻撃的でへヴィーなギターリフとのコンビネーション，そしてその上に乗る咆哮系ボーカル、これらが一体となった楽曲の数々は圧巻です。
へヴィーな曲がほとんどでありながらも、同じような曲調の曲ばかりではなく、結構バラエティに富んだ楽曲で構成されています。M8『FLAPSPOINT』の始まり方なんかは少しANTHRAX風だったりするし。
M12『YOUR MISTAKE』はニューヨーク・ハードコア・バンドAGNOSTIC FRONTのカバー曲ですが、オリジナルよりもヘヴィになっててかっこよく仕上がってます。

1995年発表のアルバムですが、いまだ色褪せない名盤です。
FEAR FACTORY独特のヘヴィネスを体感してみて下さい。
