ザッパの名曲が沢山入っているという理由で買いました。
ザッパのヘルシンキでのライブ。ザッパが客から曲のリクエストを受けたりするところがあって、そのやり取りがめちゃ楽しいです。ザッパが歌詞をヘルシンキ向けに変えて歌ったりする場面もあります。

最初から聞いているとザッパと怪しいライトに照らされたライブホールにいるような気分になれます。このアルバムは独特の雰囲気がいい。
またザッパバンドの卓越したテクニックが光っています。
ザッパ中級者にすすめたい入魂の一枚。

この作品こそ、現在約４０枚以上に達しようかという我がザッパコレクションの中でも最高傑作と呼べるもののひとつだ！アンクルミート、ジョーのガレージと並び、膨大なるザッパ作品群のヘソとも言える重大作品がこれだ。
フュージョン、プログレ、ファンク、ロック、コラージュ、ヴァレーズ、ストラヴィンスキー、メシアン等の現代音楽的複雑性と豊かな色彩、これらすべてをとりこみ、ザッパはじめ彼の指揮するバンドメンバー達の自由自在な身体を通し、夢幻華美、複雑怪奇、変幻自在、秩序あるパラノイアとも言うべき驚異的なバランスの保たれた完璧な複合体が生み出されている。
おすすめ、一枚目、４~７のメドレー　二枚目、１、２の後半、中盤のメドレー
