ザッパの雑派な音楽性をバンドではなく打ち込みに凝縮した、
内容の異様に濃い傑作。異常です。
まさに鬼才が生み出した捻くれモノ達へのアルバムです。

これまで様々な音楽にそれなりに親しんできた方なら、
このアルバムの凄さが分かるはずです。

７曲目以外、すべてザッパ（とプログラマー＆エンジニア）だけで作られたシンクラヴィアによるスタジオ作品。86年作。
タイトルに負けないカッコイイ内容で、中でも"While You Were Art ll "、"Massaggio Galore"、遺作「イエロー・シャーク」ではEnsemble Modernによって生演奏もされた"G-Spot Tornado"がお気に入りです。

敢えてカテゴライズするなら、私にはJazzというより現代音楽寄りに聞こえますが、なぜか他のアルバム以上に、曲にザッパの内面がナイーヴに反映されているようにも感じられ、それゆえ愛着の沸く１枚です。
発売当時は評価が分かれたそうだけど、個人的には余裕で星５つですな。

シンセ＆電子音楽、または宅録に興味ある人には特におすすめ。新鮮な驚きがあるでしょう。

しなやかな音色、自由な発想にもとづく縦横無尽に広がる音世界。当時のコンピュータでこれほど創造的な音楽を作った人は少ないでしょう。まるでザッパの脳にケーブルをつないで、再生したような完璧さ。現代音楽として聴くより、テクノやハウス作品として聴いても面白いかも。僕のおすすめは前編サビメロがうねってるような５曲目の「G-SPOT」ですね。曲名がHだけど、ザッパはHでも有名なんですよ（汗）。この曲は「ホット・ラッツ（ホットドッグのしゃれ？）」というアルバムに収録されてる「ピーチズ・エン・レガリア」という曲のギター・ソロをザッパが解剖学的に再構成し、作曲したもの。いわれなきゃ、わかんないです。そんなエピソードも色々の作品。
