以前からモールスキンのノートブックは欲しいなと思っていたのですが、これまでなぜか購入していませんでした。心理的に敷居の高い感じがしていたんですね、たぶん。

そして、今回ようやく購入して手に取った瞬間、「ついに手に入れた」という喜びと共に妙な懐かしさが沸いてきました。そう、モールスキンの最大の魅力は長年多くの人々に愛されてきたシンプルなデザイン。かの文豪ヘミングウェイやピカソも愛用していた歴史のあるノートブックです。

私の場合、もう何でも書き込んでしまいます。
時には日記であったり、イラストを書き込んだり、単なるメモを書き込んだり…とプレーンという特性を生かし、どんなことでも書き込んで世界にひとつだけのノートです。ほんと今まで安物のノートなんかを使ってきましたが、これになるとメモを書き込むだけでも十分楽しい。そして、書き込んだノートはひとつの作品となる。そんな楽しみができます。

サイズも小さすぎず、大きすぎず、旅行や散歩のお供にも最適だと思います。

手になじむ感触、
ペンを走らせた時の書き味、
紙の質感
使いこむほどに味がでるその風情

その全てが五感を刺激し、
そばにあると、なんだかアイディアが沸いてくる気になる不思議なノート。

自らが書いた文字や図が、
とてもいとおしく見えてきます。
そして、なんだかそれが随分立派なものに見えてくる。
（錯覚でしょうか？）

とにかく、企画ツールとしてはずせない一品です。

これ高いですよね。ノートにそんなにお金をかけてどうするんだ？という思いでずっとこのシリーズはスルーし続けていました。しかし鞄を小さくする事を機に、今までの大きいNotepadから小さいモノへの移行を余儀なくされ、こちらを購入しました。
用途はアイディア帳です。文字だけでなくチャートを書くこともあり、２ページまるごと使うので、なにも枠がないこのPlainを選択しました。使ってみてびっくり。書き味が良いだけでなく、ページを広げた時の平坦なバランスは秀逸です。なんでしょう、「また書きたくなる」というノートです。
メインの雑記用ノートはRHODIAのNo.11を使っている私ですが、時間をかけてアイディアを練る時はこのノートを使うようにします。
