著者について

DVD監修●Leza Lowitz（リザ・ロウィッツ）
カリフォルニア大学バークレー校卒業後、サンフランシスコ州立大学で創作／日本文学修士号を取得。1989年〜1994年に東京に在住、東京大学、立教大学にて教鞭をとる一方、Japan Times、Asahi Evening Newsなどに寄稿。その後カリフォルニアにて、ハタ、アイアンガー、クリパルなど様々なスタイルのヨガを学び、White Lotus Foundationよりヨガインストラクターの資格を取得。Dillon Beach Yoga Circleを主宰するほか、Yoga Research and Education Center マネージャー、Asana Yoga Studioインストラクターを歴任。20年以上にわたり仏教の教えを学び、有名なヨガ・サンスクリット学者Georg Feuerstein, Ph.D からヨガの歴史、哲学、Bhaghavad Gita、ヨガスートラの教えを受けた。著作に、詩集「Yoga Poems」（Stone Bridge Press）、「Sacred Sanskrit Words」（Stone Bridge Press）など多数。現在、東京・目黒でSUN & MOON YOGAスタジオを主宰、カリフォルニア・スタイルのヨガを日本語と英語のバイリンガルで教えている。

第１弾の朝ヨガ・夜ヨガが良かったので、期待していました。
内容は前回と同様充実しており、３０分、２０分とプログラムが短めなので、準備運動として毎日行っています。

「エナジーヨガ」はぎゅっと内容が詰まったプログラムなので、全身がほぐれて、活力がみなぎってくるので朝にお勧めです。
「リラックスヨガ」は夜寝る前にすると気持ちよく眠れます。

本に詳しくポーズの解説も載っていますし、ヨガ教室の情報など、読むだけでも楽しめますよ。

　本の表紙がポップだったため、先入観で「ちょっとお遊びっぽい…？」と思いながら購入しましたが、内容はとても充実しており、DVDも全体を通して落ち着いた雰囲気でした。　
　
　本にはマウイの自然の中でノビノビとヨガをしている人達の記事がたくさん載っており、「ヨガって本来こうゆうものかも」と少し羨ましくさえ感じます。
　
　DVDも無理して頑張り過ぎない感じが好感がもてます。頑張り過ぎない…とは言っても、ウォーミングアップ・太陽礼拝＋パワーポーズ・前屈・ねじり・開脚・後屈etc...まで、コンパクトに納まっています。　よく、30分程度のパワーヨガ系のDVDでは、立ちポーズだけ等、内容に偏りがあるものもありますが、こちらはバランスがいいですね。
　
　元気のある時もない時もすっと入り込めるヨガです。

ネットでこの本を紹介していたページがあり、とても使いやすく毎日続けられるとのことでした。
本当かな…と迷いながら購入。
その結果、買ってよかった！の一言につきます。

先日も体調が悪くヨガする気力も体力もなかったのですが、付属のＤＶＤの中からリラックスヨガを選び、できるところだけと思いながらはじめてみると
なぜかどんどん調子が出てきて、結局エナジーヨガも続けている自分がいました。
終わった後はすっきり。
あれっ？体調が戻ってる？こりゃいいぞって感じです。

解説も丁寧でわかりやすく、プログラムの構成にも無理がないので、初心者から上級者の準備運動にもおすすめです。
