　今まで「ホーマン」「カイザー」その他何冊もの教則本や入門書を買いました。しかし本当に基本的な疑問に答えてくれるものはありませんでした。
　しかしこのレッスン書の著者（森元志乃さん）は、本当の第一歩から詳細に教えてくれました。のみならずその先へ進むための技術も示してくれています。なによりも図解がわかり易い。
　私のように個人レッスンを受ける時間的余裕がない者にとって、これ以上のものはないのでは・・・。

ヴァイオリンの事が知りたくて買いました。

知識の無い私にも解る言葉で書かれています。イラストや写真も豊富で、より理解できました。教則本の様に「楽譜だらけ」ではありません。300ページ程ありますが、各項目ごとにタイトル→サブタイトル…と整理して書かれているので、あっさり読めました。
楽器の事も演奏の事も、よく解りました。ヴァイオリンを理解するのに最適の本だと思います。

著者のヴァイオリンに対する優しさや愛情を感じる良い本でした。

この本は，いわゆる教則本というよりも，楽器としてのヴァイオリンの解説本です。
楽器の知識が半分，演奏の知識が半分という感じでしょうか。
情報量が多く，練習中に見ながらという本（ex.教則本やスコア）というより，読むための時間を取ってじっくり読む本ですね。

ヴァイオリンという楽器の知識は，教室に通っていても時間の関係上じゅうぶんには教わらないまま進んでしまいがちだと思います。インターネット上の情報も，軽音楽系の楽器と比べて充実しておらず（演奏人口も違いますからね），情報収集は容易ではないと思います。
その点で本書は，楽器知識がかなり細かく掲載されており，一読する価値があると思います。楽器と付き合うからには，楽器との付き合い方（＝演奏技法）だけではなく，付き合う相手に関する情報（＝楽器そのものの知識）も重要なはずです。ここまでヴァイオリンの楽器知識が網羅された書籍は教則本に比べて少数だと思われますので，本書の存在価値は大きいと思います。

また，ヴァイオリンは，演奏のスタイルでも構え方や弓の持ち方さえ人によって異なり，教則本やヴァイオリン教師によって教え方が異なり，ネット上の情報もバラバラです。（しかも，妙な信念をもっている人が少なくないので，情報がニュートラルでなく，偏っていたり思い込みに基づいていることも多い。）
その点で本書は，様々なスタイルについて概観し，メリットデメリットを考察していますので，まだスタイルが確立されていない初心者がニュートラルな情報を得るのに最適です。
