技術者から大学教員になった著者が考える研究者としての心構えを説いている．

わかりやすくは書いていると思うが，いかんせん，内容が薄い感じが・・・．
多くの方に言い尽くされた感のあることを繰り返しているので，目新しさもいまいちない．
それに工学的，それも電子・電気技術開発分野における研究者にたいするメッセージなので，そのあたりも注意する必要がある．

それでもあえてようやくすれば，
自分の中の“動機”をうまく活用して，よく学び，よく考えなさいということ．かな
