　漢字検定の勉強の際，四字熟語をただ暗記したって何の意味もありません。その四字熟語の意味や成り立ちを知ってこそ，はじめて意義のあるものになります。現在漢字検定準一級の取得を目指している自分にとって，この本はなくてはならないものです。この本で調べた四字熟語は自然と身についてくれます。人間は理解を伴わない暗記は苦手です。この本はその「理解」の部分の手助けをしてくれることでしょう。そして，今まで以上に漢字が好きになっている自分に気づくはずです。

１級の試験勉強をしているころ、最初は『漢検漢和辞典』を買ったからこの辞書はいらないかな、と思っていました。でも、１級に出題される四字熟語は特殊なものが多く、やはりこの辞書が一番調べやすかったです。『漢検漢和辞典』にも四字熟語の用例は掲載されていますが、『四字熟語辞典』の方がすぐに見つけられます。調べる回数がとても多かった私には、調べる時間と手間を短縮できてすごく助かりました。

また、一つ一つの四字熟語が漢検何級レベルなのかが明記されていることも参考になりました。例えば、１級の過去問で間違えた語を調べたときに、それが準１級レベルの語だとわかって「準１級の範囲も含まれているんだ…」と発見したことがありました。

値段は安くはありませんが、１級受検の記念として、また今後にも役立つ物として、購入してよかったと思っています。

5.0 out of 5 stars 本格的な四字熟語辞典の嚆矢・濫觴として評価できる。, 2003/8/26
この辞典は漢字検定を勉強する上で非常に役に立ちました。私が受けたのは１級だったのですが、この時は四字熟語が弱点で、それを克服できるくらいいろいろ載っている辞典があればなぁと思っていたからです。韋編三絶するほど読んで精励恪勤した挙句に大願成就。見事に合格しました。ですが、準１級や２級の試験対策としても大いに役に立つだろうことは保証します。

あと、後半２文字で四字を当てる索引などもついており、日常的に使用するのにも便利です。私にとっては今でもいろいろと重宝している一冊です。
