世界地図が明瞭に描かれていて、もちろん、大ざっぱではありますが子供が楽しく各国の位置や特徴を捉える事ができます。（だって・・大人だって良くわからない時があるでしょ？）いつでも当たり前のように子供のそばにあれば、世界地図の感覚が自然に身につくでしょう。世界の川の長さ比べなども書かれていています。「ひとめで」わかりやすく、を目指した良書だと思います。ちょっと高いかな？と思っても、長い目で見ればその価値アリ！

保育園の時に長男のために購入。
あれから、時がたち、現在は、小学一年生の長女へ。教科書と一緒に机の上に並んでいます。
親がいくら選んで買っても、子供たちは必要なものは自分で自然と選んでいます。
何年も子供のそばにある、そんな本です。

４~５歳になると、いろんなことに興味津々になってくるようです。
ニュースなどで国の名前が出ると場所を調べたりしています。
2002年のワールドカップに出場した国の場所をたくさん覚えました。
