本のタイトルに惹かれ、初めて買った絵本です。
店頭では無く、通販で買ったので中身も解らないまま買ったのですが、絵本というと物語的なものだと思い込んでいたので、絵本を開いて最初はその中身に驚きました。
１ページに大きく描かれた簡素な花の絵、その隣に大きく描かれた「はな」という文字。
あぁ、赤ちゃんにはまずはこういった簡単なものが必要なんだなと、新米ママな私は妙に納得し、少し値段が高いんじゃないかと思いつつ、絵本とはこうゆうものなんだと思ったのですが・・・。

その後、思考錯誤しながら色々と絵本を買ってみて改めてこの本について思うのは、絵本の紙が薄いなぁという事。
赤ちゃんの間は絵本も口の中に入れるので、ちょっと目を離した隙に紙が涎で溶けて、口の中に入ってしまった事が。
以来、ちょっとやそっとじゃ溶けない、破けない、少々厚手の紙の絵本を選ぶようになりました。

確かに絵はカラフルだし、何を買っていいのか解らなかった時に目に飛び込んでくるこのタイトル。・・・損では無かったとは思いますが、得だったとも、凄く良かったとも思えない。
下描きの鉛筆（？）の線が印刷に思い切り反映されてたりするのも何だか気になる点のひとつです。
タイトル勝ち？

お友達から出産祝いに頂いたのですが、絵が大きくほんとの赤ちゃんのときからジーと眺めていました。今は、ちょっと大きくなったので、「これがりんご、わんわんいるね。」「これはお花だよ。」と、ものの名前を教えることに使っているます。ページが子供には捲り難そうですが、単純な本なのでほんとの赤ちゃんにお勧めです。

うちの息子が生まれてすぐに買った『はじめて絵本』です。
色がはっきりとしていて、とてもシンプルなのがわかりやすいようで、
ページを開いて見せただけでニコニコしていました。
見開きで絵と名前が書いてあり、そのうち字も読むかもと淡い期待もしています。
旅行先にも持ち歩き、やぶれたり、かじられたりとぼろぼろですが
１歳半になった今でも楽しんで見てます。
